EXTENSION SPRINGS
EXTENSION SPRINGS
Extension springs, also known as extension springs, are coil springs, normally tightly-wound, that are loaded in tension. Extension springs usually have hooks or loops which are attached to components. If these components are moved or pulled apart, the spring opposes this extension, exerting a force to bring them together.
Extension springs have a wide range of uses and are found in many applications, such as switches, levers, braking systems, trampolines, tools, garage doors. They are used in a wide range of industries from rail and agriculture to oil, gas and aerospace engineering.
Extension Spring Parameters
Following are the parameters required for manufacturing accurate design of Extension Springs :-
- Diameter of Bush /Hole where the spring is to be worked in.
- Working load / force required at required deflection length .
- Maximum Deflection working length required in spring .
- Frequency / Cycles required for operating spring .
- Application which will helps to select the Material /Surface Finish for resistance of corrosion .
- Application of the spring which will helps to choose the loop ends as described in image attached .
Extension Spring product range
- Wire Diameter ranging from 0.15 mm-10 mm.
- In all type of loops Machine ,Across Centre ,Double Full Loop ,Side Hook and Extended Loops.
